The City provides tree care and maintenance to parkway trees which includes pruning and removal when deemed necessary by the Public Works Department.
If you have concerns about the health, safety and/or condition of your parkway tree(s), please contact the Public Works/Street Department at 219-662-3252.
Homeowners may have the work contracted out provided that the Public Works Department has been contacted first to determine if the work is necessary and to ensure that proper pruning techniques are used.
If a contractor is hired to do the tree work upon Public Works approval, they MUST be licensed with the City of Crown Point and they are responsible for removal of all of the brush.
