City Court
The Crown Point City Court is the judicial branch of the City of Crown Point located at the Civic Center - 101 S East Street, Crown Point, IN 46307 in downtown Crown Point. While City Court business is conducted on a daily basis, the City Court holds all hearings and trials every Tuesday afternoon beginning at 1:30 p.m. and ending at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The Crown Point City Court hears cases involving criminal misdemeanors, traffic tickets (infractions) and city ordinance violations. The City Court Clerk's Office is open to the public weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
The City Court Clerk's Office can also be reached by phone at (219) 662-3243 weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Persons may call the City Court Clerk with questions about the status of a criminal case, options for payment or resolution of traffic tickets, the traffic ticket deferral program, or ordinance violation cases. The Clerk’s Office cannot give you legal advice but can explain your options on certain matters or give you the status of your case.
